Weekend Reflection #25

I can’t believe that it is Friday already. This week flew by way too fast. My oldest daughter went on an airplane to Wisconsin on Tuesday. She flew by herself. I already miss her. I’ve been in charge of all of her chores, cleaning the litter boxes. feeding the cats and feeding her fish. Ciara has been sleeping in Courtney’s bed now that she is gone. Today is the first day since she left that I did not call her on the phone. I know she is alright. Maybe I…

Weekend Reflection #54 Fleas, Summer Classes and Warm Weather

Grab the Weekend Reflection Code It’s time once again to reflect on the past week. What were some of the positive things that happened? What really bothered you? Did you laugh? Cry? Stand on your head? What ever you did this past week I want to hear it. Writing down all the crazy things that happened over the past week is a good way to deal with stress. As our lives get busier and busier along with it is stress. It is time to let it all out so you…

Weekend Reflection #29 How is the Economic Bailout Going to Help Families Like Us?

Yesterday President Bush signed into law a $700 billion financial rescue package. This package will allow the government to purchase mortgage-related investments and other assets from troubled financial institutions. The government hopes that the bill will restore confidence in markets and make credit more available to businesses and individuals. Some businesses depend on credit in order to make payroll. People like you and I need credit to buy a home or a car. So if the government is helping out banks with this massive bill how will it help us?…

Weekend Reflection- Happy Mothers Day

http://digg.com/tools/diggthis.js Happy Mother’s Day! It has been a busy week for me, working and trying to do some things with my home business and blog. I finally got my items posted to Ebay, but I still have a lot of other things to take care of. I want to wish all the Moms a Happy Mother’s Day and I would like to dedicate this post to my mother. She has always been there for me and now that I am an adult she is more than just my mother she…

Weekend Reflection #34 – Our Kids Say the Funniest Things

Yesturday we were riding in the van coming home from a visit to one of our local malls. My oldest (Courtney, 11) was sitting in the back seat listening to her MP3 player and the two little ones were sitting rather quietly in their car seats. Then Courtney said, “Mom Ciara just pulled a huge chunk of hair out of her head!” I replied, “Ciara, don’t do that! Why did you pull your hair out?” Then she started pushing on her head from underneath her chin and replied with this.”…

Weekend Reflection #31 – My Kids

I am having a tough time deciding what to write for this week’s “Weekend Reflection” post. I could write more about the economy and how it is hurting families like mine, but I think I’ve covered that enough. I could write about the Presidential election and how angry and frustrated it is getting me. But I think I’ll save that for my new blog, Take Two and Call Me in the Morning. (I’ll keep you all posted on when I’m going to officially launch it.) I could write about my…

Weekend Reflection # 30- Positive Thinking When Times are Tough

I have been writing a lot about stress and depression because a lot of families in the US are hurting. Nine out of every 1,000 households in the United States foreclosed this year. The stock market is falling and lots of families lost money they invested for the future. And according to the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics, the national unemployment rate is at 6.1% and rising. So what is next? What can we do about our situation? Moping around and getting all depressed about losing your job, money invested…

Weekend Reflection

This week has been crazy. I started a job with a marketing firm and had no idea what I was getting myself into. The company is called Smart Circle. Basically what we were doing was cold calling at businesses. They call it direct marketing. The only reason why I took the job was because I am very curious about marketing and the guy that hired me was very cool. But like I said before I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I had to sign this contract…

Weekend Reflection #35- Blogging

This week was crazy and it is hard to believe that just a few days ago I was back home. (Wisconsin) Now I’m here again in uncomfortable but warm California. I’m homesick already. My kids crack me up every day. Courtney is turning into a beautiful young lady way too quickly. But she still reminds me that she’s still a kid. Just last night she decided she wanted to snuggle with Mommy on the couch. I wonder when she will get too old for that. Ciara had a fever of…

Weekend Reflection

The holidays have come and gone it is now January 5, 2008. This week I have learned to count my blessings and be thankful for today because you never know what tomorrow might bring. A friend of mine lost her father suddenly just before the New Year. You never know when it is going to be your time. Despite all of my personal problems, stress and worries I still have my health and my beautiful children. It is time to think positively and treasure all of the wonderful things in…
