Grab the Weekend Reflection Code It’s time once again to reflect on the past week. What were some of the positive things that happened? What really bothered you? Did you laugh? Cry? Stand on your head? What ever you did this past week I want to hear it. Writing down all the crazy things that happened over the past week is a good way to deal with stress. As our lives get busier and busier along with it is stress. It is time to let it all out so you…

Weekend Reflection #29 How is the Economic Bailout Going to Help Families Like Us?
Yesterday President Bush signed into law a $700 billion financial rescue package. This package will allow the government to purchase mortgage-related investments and other assets from troubled financial institutions. The government hopes that the bill will restore confidence in markets and make credit more available to businesses and individuals. Some businesses depend on credit in order to make payroll. People like you and I need credit to buy a home or a car. So if the government is helping out banks with this massive bill how will it help us?…

I’m sorry I’m posting this late. This week was pretty busy. I actually stuck with my work plan and blogged for 5-6 hours each day. I saw my traffic go up as a result. Now I know what I need to do to increase my readership on this blog. But, yesterday I decided to do the housework that I was putting off and spend the day with my oldest. My husband went down to Galt to take a test for a state job and the little ones went to Grandma…

http://digg.com/tools/diggthis.js I am going to make this Weekend Reflection post short because I have a very busy weekend ahead of me. This weekend my husband and I are going to a thing called Retrouvaille. It is basically a retreat set up by the Catholic Church for married couples who are close to splitting up. It is supposed to help heal your marriage. My husband and I do not have the happiest marriage so hopefully this will help. When you have financial difficulties like we have had it is hard on…

http://digg.com/tools/diggthis.js Happy Mother’s Day! It has been a busy week for me, working and trying to do some things with my home business and blog. I finally got my items posted to Ebay, but I still have a lot of other things to take care of. I want to wish all the Moms a Happy Mother’s Day and I would like to dedicate this post to my mother. She has always been there for me and now that I am an adult she is more than just my mother she…

http://digg.com/tools/diggthis.js What is up with this crazy weather? My week was great and went by fast but the weather has been strange. According to the locals out here typically in May it is warm and sunny with highs in the mid 80’s. A week ago we had temperatures in the 100’s and this past week it cooled off into the 70’s and was extremely windy. This weekend we have temperatures in the 60’s and 70’s and rain. I checked the weather for back home in Wisconsin and this weekend they…

http://digg.com/tools/diggthis.js This week has been a nuts, crazy went by way too quickly kind of week. I worked Monday-Thursday at a store in Roseville. We got through the whole project a lot faster than expected. Tomorrow we are headed to Auburn. With the way gas prices are going I am not looking forward to the half hour drive every day. My husband figured it out by the end of the week it will cost me about $50 in gas to drive there and back. Hopefully we can get that store…

Yesturday we were riding in the van coming home from a visit to one of our local malls. My oldest (Courtney, 11) was sitting in the back seat listening to her MP3 player and the two little ones were sitting rather quietly in their car seats. Then Courtney said, “Mom Ciara just pulled a huge chunk of hair out of her head!” I replied, “Ciara, don’t do that! Why did you pull your hair out?” Then she started pushing on her head from underneath her chin and replied with this.”…

This week was crazy. My husband and I started our new jobs working for Crossmark. We love it but we decided to work as much overtime as we can in order to pay for our plane tickets to Wisconsin this Thanksgiving. I missed my kids this week. But I know it is going to be worth it. We work at Home Depot Stores in the Kitchen and Bath Department, Plumbing and Building Supplies. Our job is to walk around the departments and make sure all the products are merchandised properly,…

I am having a tough time deciding what to write for this week’s “Weekend Reflection” post. I could write more about the economy and how it is hurting families like mine, but I think I’ve covered that enough. I could write about the Presidential election and how angry and frustrated it is getting me. But I think I’ll save that for my new blog, Take Two and Call Me in the Morning. (I’ll keep you all posted on when I’m going to officially launch it.) I could write about my…
