This week was crazy. My husband and I started our new jobs working for Crossmark. We love it but we decided to work as much overtime as we can in order to pay for our plane tickets to Wisconsin this Thanksgiving. I missed my kids this week. But I know it is going to be worth it. We work at Home Depot Stores in the Kitchen and Bath Department, Plumbing and Building Supplies. Our job is to walk around the departments and make sure all the products are merchandised properly,…

Weekend Reflection #31 – My Kids
I am having a tough time deciding what to write for this week’s “Weekend Reflection” post. I could write more about the economy and how it is hurting families like mine, but I think I’ve covered that enough. I could write about the Presidential election and how angry and frustrated it is getting me. But I think I’ll save that for my new blog, Take Two and Call Me in the Morning. (I’ll keep you all posted on when I’m going to officially launch it.) I could write about my…

I have been writing a lot about stress and depression because a lot of families in the US are hurting. Nine out of every 1,000 households in the United States foreclosed this year. The stock market is falling and lots of families lost money they invested for the future. And according to the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics, the national unemployment rate is at 6.1% and rising. So what is next? What can we do about our situation? Moping around and getting all depressed about losing your job, money invested…

http://digg.com/tools/diggthis.js This week was very busy but rewarding. I started my new job working as a merchandiser for Prism Retail Services. The job is very simple but fun. I met some nice people and am looking forward to next week. We had a parish mission at our church this past week. It was put on by Deacon Glenn Harmon. Even though every night was late and I had to get up at 5 am the following morning it was worth the sacrifice. This experience really helped me to grow spiritually…

http://digg.com/tools/diggthis.js Why am I up at 6’o’clock in the morning on a Saturday? I don’t really know myself. I just know that I can’t sleep. This week went by way too fast. I don’t think I even accomplished much until yesterday. My husband took the kids to Grandma and Grandpa’s yesterday so I could straighten up the house and get the laundry caught up. Maybe that is why I am up at 6am on a Saturday. Or maybe not. I finally downloaded the photos off our camera the other day.…

I have to make this post brief because I am leaving to…

This week has been crazy. I started a job with a marketing firm and had no idea what I was getting myself into. The company is called Smart Circle. Basically what we were doing was cold calling at businesses. They call it direct marketing. The only reason why I took the job was because I am very curious about marketing and the guy that hired me was very cool. But like I said before I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I had to sign this contract…

This week was crazy and it is hard to believe that just a few days ago I was back home. (Wisconsin) Now I’m here again in uncomfortable but warm California. I’m homesick already. My kids crack me up every day. Courtney is turning into a beautiful young lady way too quickly. But she still reminds me that she’s still a kid. Just last night she decided she wanted to snuggle with Mommy on the couch. I wonder when she will get too old for that. Ciara had a fever of…

Well I don’t have a lot to say this week. I have been extremely tired, stressed out and depressed about our whole situation. I can’t sleep at night. Even when my baby is sleeping I still don’t sleep well. I got this Celestial Seasonings tea called Tension Reducer, or something like that. It is pretty tasty. So far I don’t know if it has helped me yet. The house is slowly getting packed up. I am not looking forward to this move. I think I am going to cry on…
