Grab the Weekend Reflection Code
It’s time once again to reflect on the past week. What were some of the positive things that happened? What really bothered you? Did you laugh? Cry? Stand on your head? What ever you did this past week I want to hear it. Writing down all the crazy things that happened over the past week is a good way to deal with stress. As our lives get busier and busier along with it is stress. It is time to let it all out so you can enjoy your weekend.
Here’s how my week went. Besides going by rather quickly nothing much really happened. The weather started to get nicer, finally but I’ve been so busy writing that I haven’t been able to enjoy it. We do have a nice extension cord that I can use for the lap top if I want to work out in the backyard but it has been like pulling teeth to get my little ones to go and play outside this past week.
I don’t know what their problem was. Usually Ciara loves to run around outside. But every time I told her, “Okay it is time to get dressed and go outside and play.” She would get dressed, go outside and be back in five minutes later. This is not like her. And then of course Conan follows her in the door every single time.
Tomorrow the temperature is supposed to hit 100 degrees so I am planning on getting their swimming pool out of the shed. Maybe if I get that set up they’ll want to go outside more. That will give me a good excuse to sit out there with them with the laptop.
Courtney’s class is doing a little play to end the school year. Do you remember the book “Pacos Bill?” Well there is a play to go along with it. I had no idea. I read the book when I was a kid. Now my kid is doing the play with her classmates. She is one of the narrators. That is all she’s been talking about this past week.
We finally got the packet for her ATS class at the local college this summer. I still have no idea which class she got accepted into because it is addressed to Courtney and she hasn’t opened it up yet. Courtney is very interested in writing and sometimes she sits in her room with a notepad and just jots down stuff. She says she is writing a story but I haven’t seen her story yet. So we signed her up for two different writing classes. They requested that you pick two just in case your first pick is filled up. She’s either going to be in the short story class or the screenplay class. I’ll make sure she opens the packet up today.
The cats have fleas. They have really, really bad fleas. Now the little buggers have infested our carpet and we can not stand in one spot without getting attacked. I’ve treated them with flea baths and flea spray but nothing has worked. So finally I visited Drs. Foster and Smith and ordered some Frontline. This better do the trick! If not I’m just going to have to start a flea circus.
How did your week go? I would love to hear about it! If you are joining us this week don’t forget to leave your link.

This “weekend reflection” idea is very cool, I’m going to check it out and try to participate.
Your little girl is so cute, very photogenic!
Those fleas are bad news, hope you get rid of them. Don’t forget to treat your carpet in addition to the cats.
Thank you for your comment!
And yes we got a couple of cans of flea powder for the carpets. We are planning on treating the carpets this weekend and my husband is also going to steam clean them too. So hopefully that will get rid of the little buggers!
That’s so fun that your daughter likes to write! I know what you mean about wanting to get outside more. I hope that once Logan can play outside, I will be able to write outside as well. That is too bad about your cats 🙁
eww I hate flees! They are such a pain!
I bring my laptop outside. We’re fortunate to have a plug near a table near a swingset, so every morning I sit outside with my coffee and watch the boys play while I stalk all my favorite blogs 😉
