This is going to be a Word-full Wednesday, because we have been so busy that it has been a week since I’ve updated this blog.
The kids are home for the summer. This is our last summer here in Spokane so we are making the most of it. Last weekend Riverfront Park celebrated their 40th Anniversary and we took the kids there for a final farewell to our favorite park.

This week is Chris’ final week with his old position. He is working in the Spokane area so it is nice to have him home every night. When my husband is home a lot of my free time is spent with him. This is why I haven’t been able to visit as many blogs this week as I usually do. During the day I am watching the kids and packing and in the evenings I have been spending quality time with Chris.

Our stack of boxes is growing. |
Every day since the kids have been home for summer break I’ve had each of them pack a box from their bedrooms. The closets in Kitty’s room and the boys’ room are empty except for their clothes. They are done packing. I will box up their clothes during our final week in this house. Goose skipped a few days of packing and still has a ways to go before her closet only has clothes in it. I am a little disappointed in her because he is the oldest. But, she is very disorganized witch is very common in girls with Asperger’s.
Another part of our move which is taking up a lot of my time is searching for a place to live. For our family of seven we need a four bedroom home and we are not ready to purchase a home yet. There are not very many homes for rent large enough for us and within our price range in the north west suburbs of Chicago. I visit Craigslist daily. Hopefully, we can line up some showings for when Chris is out there training in July.
On Friday we are leaving to visit my in-laws down in Sacramento for the 4th of July. Chris and I are also getting away to Las Vegas for a couple of days. I am looking forward to a break from packing and the craziness of summer at the zoo. When we return we will only have five weeks left until we move.
