Yesterday

Yesterday it seemed so far away….is that how it goes? Let’s just say I had a crazy day and here I am sitting in my pajamas with my empty coffee mug blogging about it. That is the way it goes, right? When something happens us mom bloggers rush over to our computer to rant about it. Writing it down gives us a rush. It makes us feel good. It is kind of like the feeling you get after eating a chocolate bar.

Anyway, back to my first point; yesterday. As you may know my husband is away for the week on business so I am here alone with five kids. Something interesting always happens when he is away.

The day started out just fine but then around one in the afternoon Parrot approached me and said, “Mommy can you clean up my mess?” I said, “What mess?” He replied, “My throw up downstairs.”

I asked him if he had bananas (he’s allergic to them and they make him throw up). He said no but he still threw up at least a dozen times throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Goose had to skip karate because there was no way I was going to drag a sick kid all the way out there.

I had to run out to the store to get some white soda and crackers for Parrot, two items that I rarely purchase. He still hasn’t touched the crackers and all he is drinking is water.

I managed to fit a shower in after Goose got home from school while the baby slept in his crib. Taking Monkey into the bathroom with me sounded like a good idea at the time but now I have a big mess to clean up. While I was showering he thought it would be fun to take literally all of my cosmetics, lotions and miscellaneous items from under the sink and throw them in the tub. He found a brand new bottle of nail polish that I forgot I had.

So today I get to decide if I want to work on my online store, (By the way I sell really ausome natural health and wellness products. You need to check out the skin care line if you haven’t yet.) clean up Monkey’s mess, or just do nothing while I take care of a sick kid. Maybe I should get caught up with my television shows. I did manage to watch The Voice last night. Have you seen that one? I love it! So much better than American Idol. The concept is pretty cool too.

So what are your plans for today?

One Thought to “Yesterday”

  1. Oh no, I hope he is feeling better today! Sick kids are tough. I hope you (and the rest of the house) don't get it.
