Weekend Reflection

http://digg.com/tools/diggthis.js

I am going to make this Weekend Reflection post short because I have a very busy weekend ahead of me.

This weekend my husband and I are going to a thing called Retrouvaille. It is basically a retreat set up by the Catholic Church for married couples who are close to splitting up. It is supposed to help heal your marriage. My husband and I do not have the happiest marriage so hopefully this will help.

When you have financial difficulties like we have had it is hard on a marriage. We lost our home back in Wisconsin. Chris and I have been out of work for some time now and the bills and debts keep piling up. A lot of marriages split up due to finances. I don’t want ours to be part of those statistics.

The kids will be with Grandma and Grandpa this weekend while mom and dad work on their marriage. I am doing this for my kids. I will be back to post again on Monday.

  1. I hope the weekend helps you and your husband! Sometimes just spending some time away without the kids can be helpful.I can definitely relate to money problems…my husband has been out of work for over a year, and I am trying to get disability. So we struggle each month with money. I hope you and your husband can work things out between you! Here’s my blog, if you care to stop by sometime: http://www.mad-about-kids.com

  3. All the best for a happy family! I’ve been married for 18 yrs and I have my share of financial woes. We got through the tough times, luckily it didn’t last as long as our marriage. 🙂
